Sherlyn Kok has joined Sompo Asia Pacific (APAC) as Vice President, Head of Compliance, a role based in Singapore.
Reporting to Todd Corey, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Asia Pacific, Kok will lead the regional and local-market compliance and support global compliance initiatives and activities.
She will collaborate closely with local compliance, legal, internal audit, risk, and business teams to proactively identify and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks.
Additionally, she will monitor the effectiveness of existing compliance controls, policies, and procedures within the region.
With over 14 years of professional experience across financial institutions, Kok is joining Sompo from JP MorganChase, where she most recently served as Regional Operational Risk and Compliance Vice President in Singapore.
Through her career she has also held roles with China Taiping Insurance, Allianz Asia Pacific, Great Eastern, and KPMG.
