US MGA, ShoreOne has announced the appointment of Brad Burton as Senior Vice President, Operations.

Burton has more than 25 years of property and casualty industry experience, as well as a strong command of catastrophe management principles and oversight of underwriting and technology teams.

He joined ShoreOne from Olympus Insurance Company, where he served as Vice President, Underwriting and Sales. In this capacity, Burton was responsible for product development and implementation, underwriting operations, business development and exposure management.

Prior to Olympus, he served in various executive level roles with both national and Florida domestic property insurers. Burton also served in the United States Army and later the Tennessee Army National Guard. As a helicopter pilot, he was awarded the Air Medal and Army Commendation Medal for his 1991-92 Gulf War service.

ShoreOne CEO, Nick Steffey, commented: “There’s nothing we can throw at him that he won’t be able to manage and organise. Brad exemplifies grace under pressure.”

Cameron Rhodes, ShoreOne President and Chief Operations Officer, added: “We’re excited to have Brad Burton as Senior Vice President, Operations. His experience and strategic thinking has already proven to be a great asset for us.”

ShoreOne was founded in 2019 to address the significant coverage gap that flood-exposed coastal homeowners face.

The company is currently operating in South Carolina, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. According to the announcement, Burton will play a central role in working with the ShoreOne team in scaling the business and managing operations.
