WTW has announced the appointment of Shruti Saxena as Director within the Property and Casualty (P&C) Canadian Insurance Consulting & Technology (ICT) team.
In her new role, based in Toronto, Saxena will be responsible for expanding WTW’s presence in the Canadian market, taking on Appointed Actuary responsibilities, and supporting the corporate actuarial team on reserving projects.
She will be reporting to Jean-Francois Tremblay, Director and P&C Canada Leader within ICT, who commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Shruti to WTW. Her extensive experience in actuarial consulting and leadership, along with her deep knowledge of the Canadian market, will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen our capabilities and expand our presence.”
Saxena, an actuary with a specialisation in corporate reserving and over 17 years of experience in the insurance sector, is joining WTW from TD Insurance.
During her time at TD Insurance, she managed a team of actuarial practitioners, overseeing key functions including provisions, appointed actuary reports, and regulatory submissions.
Prior to that, Saxena held a number of senior positions at PwC and Deloitte both in Canada and India, specialising in corporate reserving work.
