Chedid Re’s Shukri Abou Jaoude has been appointed to the role of Deputy General Manager at Chedid Re Lebanon, in addition to his current role as Senior Director for the Health, Life, and Travel Treaty Division.
Shukri has been with Chedid Re for over five years.
He joined the firm in 2019 taking on the role of Director, Treaty Health & Life.
Prior to joining the reinsurance broker, Shukri spent six years working at Nasco Insurance Group.
During his tenure at the firm he served in a number of different leadership roles, including: General Manager, Chief Operations Officer, and Senior Executive Manager/Head of Life & Medex.
Moreover, between August 2006 – December 2012, he worked at Arab Insurance Group, where he held the role of Assistant Director – Medical.
Additionally, between 2004 – 2006, he held the role of Assistant General Manager – Clients Operations at Globemed Saudi Arabia.
Chedid Re recently made two new appointments within its Facultative Division.
Patricia Atallah was named Senior Director of the firm’s Property portfolio and Jalal Tabaja was appointed Senior Director of Energy, Marine & Specie.
In April 2023, Chedid Re Europe set up regional headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its regional operations in the Middle Eastern reinsurance market.
