SIGNAL IDUNA Reinsurance Ltd (SI Re), the Swiss reinsurer based in Zug, has appointed Beatrix Dodgson as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), effective 1 November 2026.
Dodgson will join SI Re from Korean Re Switzerland AG, where she has served as Chief Underwriting Officer and a member of the Executive Team since September 2024.
She previously spent more than two decades at Swiss Re, most recently serving as Desk Head, Casualty Treaty Underwriting, EMEA Globals and UK, and Portfolio Owner of the EMEA Liability Treaty book.
Before that, she was a Key Account Manager for leading global client groups, having previously underwritten Casualty Treaty business across EMEA Globals, the Middle East, Turkey and India.
Dodgson joined Swiss Re in Johannesburg in 1997, where she was responsible for French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa.
Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Consultant at KPMG in Zurich and began her insurance career at CAP Legal Protection Insurance in Geneva.
