SIGNAL IDUNA Reinsurance Ltd (SI Re), the Swiss based reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Simon Parten as ILS Portfolio Manager, effective 1st June 2026.
In his new role, Parten will further develop SI Re’s Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) portfolio, which serves as a key diversifier within the company’s reinsurance book.
He brings extensive experience in portfolio allocation across catastrophe bonds, collateralised reinsurance, quota shares, and leveraged facilities.
Parten joins SI Re from Schroder Capital ILS, where he most recently served as Senior Underwriter & Analyst for its ILS portfolio.
Previously, he was a Pricing Actuary at Zurich Financial Services and also held roles at Allianz Risk Transfer and Towers Watson, gaining early experience with Tindall Riley at Britannia P&I.
