Newly established managing general agent (MGA), SXG Underwriting Limited (Specialty X Global), has been launched by Simon Global Insurance Group, while being approved as a Lloyd’s coverholder.

SXG Underwriting Limited logoSpecialty X Global is based in Hong Kong, and as an approved Lloyd’s coverholder, has the authority to underwrite specialty risks on behalf of Lloyd’s syndicate, providing clients and brokers with direct access to Lloyd’s globally recognised security, financial strength, and specialist underwriting expertise.

This also enables the MGA the ability to offer flexible and tailored solutions for complex risks, supported by the robust regulatory framework and reputation of the Lloyd’s market.

It will also underwrite general liability and other speciality risks, delivering comprehensive solutions to businesses operating across diverse industries.

Dong Woo Lim, CEO, SXG Underwriting Limited, added, “We are building more than just an MGA — we are creating a platform for the future of specialty underwriting in Asia. By combining Lloyd’s global strength with deep regional expertise, we aim to redefine how complex risks are underwritten and delivered to the market.
