Bermuda domiciled reinsurer, Somerset Reinsurance Ltd., has named Joshua Braverman as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and as a member of its executive leadership team, taking overall responsibility for the company’s asset management activities.
The appointment also sees Braverman chair Somerset Reinsurance’s Investment and Investment Advisory Committees, and he will be based in Bermuda and report to the reinsurer’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Patrick Kelleher.
He joins the firm from global insurer AXA, where he was most recently Senior Executive Director and Head of Legacy Business for AXA U.S., as well as President and CEO of AXA Corporate Solutions Life Re. Prior to this, Braverman was AXA U.S. CIO, Treasurer and Head of Derivatives.
Before AXA, Braverman held numerous senior executive positions with AEGON.
