Sompo Asia Pacific, part of global insurance and reinsurance firm Sompo, has appointed Winnie Chau as Senior Underwriter, Financial Lines, with responsibility for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Chau joins the role with more than 14 years of underwriting experience across Financial Lines, including Cyber and Professional Indemnity. She has experience managing complex multinational risks and a track record of supporting portfolio performance.
Based in Hong Kong, Chau will support the continued development of Sompo Asia Pacific’s Financial Lines business across the three markets.
Her responsibilities will include expanding the portfolio, further developing the company’s underwriting capabilities and working with brokers and clients to provide solutions aligned with their requirements.
The appointment strengthens Sompo Asia Pacific’s Financial Lines underwriting team as the company continues to develop its offering for businesses across Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
