Sompo International has announced that Victor Sordillo, current Senior Vice President, Loss Control has been appointed Loss Control leader for all of Sompo International Insurance, and that Christine Sullivan will become Senior Vice President, Loss Control Leader, Sompo Global Risk Solutions (GRS).
Sordillo joined the company as Loss Control Leader for Sompo GRS in January 2017, and has helped expand the strategic risk management services offered to GRS clients.
In his new role, Sordillo will evolve these services to support Sompo International’s global insurance platform, and will report to Jack Kuhn, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Insurance.
Sullivan’s new role will see her continue to enhance the company’s loss control capabilities for GRS’s target industries, and she will report to Sordillo and to Ionel Rizea, Chief Business Development and Operations Officer of Sompo Global Risk Solutions.

“Working collaboratively with our dedicated underwriters and claims specialists, Vic and Christine will lead the delivery of our proprietary next generation of loss control consultation, Risk A/TSM, which relies on behavioral based analysis to assist our clients to better manage their risk exposures, and continue to expand our loss control team’s capabilities to deliver industry leading services across our entire insurance portfolio.”
Sordillo has over 30 years’ experience in risk management roles at QBE and the Chubb Group, where he has been responsible for managing large-loss investigations and claims reviews, as well as for directing global safety and security engineering services.
Sullivan joins Sompo International from Lockton Companies, where she has held a number of senior loss control positions over a 20 year career. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President, Risk Control Services and, prior to Lockton, she spent five years with the Chubb Group.
