Global Property and Casualty re/insurer, Sompo International, has announced a new leadership team for its UK commercial P&C insurance unit, with Bob Thaker being named as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the segment.
Thaker will be reporting to Julian James, CEO of Global Markets for Sompo International.
Additionally, Thaker has been appointed as the CEO of Sompo International’s UK business legal entity.
The firm has also named Ian Keegan to lead the London Market Wholesale & Specialty division, and to serve as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of the UK business legal entity.
Meanwhile, Mike Reid will lead the UK Commercial Lines division. Both Keegan and Reid will report to Thaker.
James commented on the appointments, “Sompo International has a strong presence in the London Market and a growing footprint across the UK.
