Sophie Wentges is joining Willis Re’s Catastrophe Analytics team, where she will support the London and Bermuda broking teams and will be based in London.
Wentges has around 12 years of experience in specialty catastrophe modelling across broking and insurance.
She began her career at Hiscox in London Market Property & Specialty Insurance, catastrophe analytics, where she worked closely with underwriters on view of risk and pricing.
In 2018, Wentges joined Gallagher Re’s Marine and Specialty Analytics team, where over the past eight years she has worked across multiple lines of business, supporting clients with exposure management, developing bespoke solutions, and partnering closely with brokers throughout the renewal cycle.
“Sophie’s experience in marine and specialty across insurance and broking and her expertise in natural and man-made perils will be an asset to clients and brokers in supporting their exposure management and portfolio development throughout the renewal cycle,” Willis Re said.
Cameron Rye, Director of Nat Cat Analytics at Willis Re, commented, “Sophie’s deep expertise across Catastrophe Modelling, including both natural and man‑made perils, will significantly strengthen our capabilities at Willis Re to support clients with their reinsurance strategies.
“We’re thrilled to have her join our Catastrophe Analytics team in London, supporting both our London and Bermuda broking teams.”
