Kyntra, a MISSION-backed managing general agent (MGA), has entered the market to provide property cover for brokers placing risks that fall outside standard insurer appetites.

technologyLed by co-founder and co-CEOs David Gibson and Robert Purser, who bring over 40 years’ combined insurance experience in establishing specialist property portfolios, the Dublin-based firm aims to bridge critical capacity gaps across Ireland and the UK.

Kyntra offers primary, first-loss, excess-of-loss and co-insurance cover for property-owner and operational risks, including standard and non-standard construction.

Target sectors include manufacturing, warehousing, accommodation and leisure, extending to office blocks and unoccupied property.

David Gibson said: “Brokers need underwriters who’ll take on the risks others won’t. We’re hands-on, assessing every submission on its own merits rather than against rigid, rules-based criteria, and we want to build long-term relationships with brokers by finding dependable cover for their clients.”

As a global MGA Capital Partner, MISSION provides capital and full back-office support, which will allow the team to focus on serving brokers.

Robert Purser commented: “We’re delighted to partner with MISSION in this new venture. MISSION’s platform gives us the capacity and operational support to focus on what we do best: underwriting difficult risks. It provides the long-term backing to build a sustainable specialist business that can be a partner to brokers and clients throughout the underwriting cycle.”
