Specialty MGA, a member of the MNK Group, is enhancing its specialist financial lines offering with the appointment of Davood Khalaghizadeh as Senior Underwriter for Directors and Officers (D&O).
Khalaghizadeh brings a rich background across major global insurers and MGAs, including AIG, QBE, and CV Starr, where he oversaw D&O portfolios.
He subsequently rebuilt and grew the D&O business at Aspen and gained further experience at Volante. His expertise spans international markets, from small lines to high excess layers, with a strong focus on reinsurance and broad engagement with specialist risk sectors.
At Specialty MGA, Khalaghizadeh will lead the development of the commercial D&O portfolio and associated financial lines products. He will manage a multi-territory book, support the Group’s reinsurance strategy, and help shape future direct insurance opportunities.
His appointment reflects Specialty MGA’s ambition to expand its market reach, strengthen underwriting capabilities, and offer innovative, full-spectrum solutions to brokers and clients worldwide.
