SRS Altitude, a managing general underwriter (MGU) specializing in Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) solutions within Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), has appointed Joe Sullivan as Head of ART for North America.

Sullivan stepped into the role on November 2, 2026, to drive the expansion of the firm’s North American ART business.

Based in New Jersey, Sullivan brings proven experience in ART and a deep expertise in captive insurance.

In his previous position as Deputy Regional Head of ART, Americas at Allianz Commercial, he merged commercial direction with technical underwriting expertise to formulate ART strategies across casualty, property, and specialty sectors.

His expertise covers the management of intricate multi-line, multi-year risk financial and risk transfer arrangements.

“Demand for ART and captive solutions in North America is accelerating, and we are moving decisively to meet it,” said Loredana Mazzoleni Neglén, CEO, SRS Altitude. “With Joe on board, we bring our ART underwriting expertise closer to clients and broker partners throughout the region.”

Sullivan will work with broker partners, corporate clients, and captive owners to develop tailored risk transfer and risk financing solutions that address their evolving risk management needs.

“Joe is a great addition to lead the alternative risk transfer expansion in North America,” said Brady Young, CEO of Strategic Risk Solutions. “We’ve built a strong business around captive management and consulting, and Joe’s experience will help us meet a broader range of client needs as organizations explore more sophisticated risk transfer strategies.”
