Starr, an insurance and investment organisation, has appointed Xinwei Zhang as its Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Property, tasked with leading the carrier’s globally aligned property operations function, strengthening team support, enhancing collaboration, and driving new growth opportunities.
She has nearly two decades of experience leading property operations and driving transformative change at major global carriers.
Most recently, she was the Chief Strategy Officer for Global Property at Allianz Commercial, where she led property transformation and strategies globally, including aligning MidCorp and LargeCorp Property processes, while supporting functions such as actuary, engineering, multinational, and operations.
Before this, she served with global insurer American International Group (AIG) as Head of Global Property Operations for over five years.
Zhang started her career in 2007 at AgCert as a Regulatory Analyst, and has served with industry giant, Swiss Re for over a decade in roles such as Senior Corporate Development Manager, and Business Engineer.
