Christopher Magee has joined Starr Insurance as Vice President, International Head of Financial Lines and Professional Liability.
Magee’s position is a new role which will see him focus on growing the business outside the US and helping clients manage their risks around the world.
He joins Starr from global insurer American International Group (AIG), where he previously served as Head of Commercial D&O.
Towards the role, he brings more than 25 years of financial lines management experience at large US multinational insurance companies across the US, Canada, UK and Switzerland.
He began his career in 1995 working as an Underwriting Officer at Chubb & Son. Later on in his career, Magee went on to work in leadership roles at The Hartford. This included a four year stint as International Manager, Canada & The Americas, and a nearly six year tenure as Managing Director, Chief Underwriting Officer.
Moving forward to 2013, Magee went on to work at Berkley Professional Liability, where he served as Vice President & Head of Financial Lines for the UK.
Earlier this year, Starr expanded its presence in Malaysia by establishing a Labuan Branch (Starr Labuan) of Starr International Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a non-life insurer organised under the laws of Singapore.
