Starr Insurance Companies has announced that its Brazilian business, Starr International Brasil Seguradora S.A. (Starr Brazil), has obtained a local license to offer aviation insurance.
It also revealed that Fernanda Strachino has joined Starr Brazil to head the new aviation division.
Fernanda is an aviation specialist underwriter with more than 16 years’ experience working for companies such as Chubb, Aon, AIG and Willis Towers Watson in the Brazilian aviation re/insurance market.

Starr Brazil is expected to offer a variety of aviation coverages, including Aircraft Hull & Liability, Spare Parts, Third-Party Legal Liability, Corporate Non-Owned Aircraft Liability, General Liability, RETA Insurance (Mandatory Liability), Hangarkeepers’ Liability, Premises Liability, Airport Liability, Products & Completed Operations Liability.
