Starr, an insurance and investment organisation, has announced the appointment of Vichai Laotrakul as CEO of Thailand.
In his new role, Laotrakul will be responsible for driving growth, overseeing business performance, and strengthening Starr’s market position in Thailand.
He brings more than two decades of underwriting experience across multiple lines of business and joins Starr from Allianz Ayudhya, where he served as Chief Distribution Officer.
Prior to that, Laotrakul was Head of P&C at Muang Thai Insurance PCL (MTI) and Southeast Insurance and Finance Group.
He also served as Head of Financial Lines & Casualty at Chubb and held earlier roles at Allianz and AIG.
