Managing general underwriter and reinsurance advisory firm, Summit Reinsurance Services (Summit Re), has partnered with xG Health Solutions, Inc. to enable more detailed population health assessment for its clients.

Summit ReThe recently announced strategic collaboration will enable Summit Re clients to obtain “a comprehensive population health assessment designed to optimize clinical and value-based performance,” which will be especially valuable to entities in the healthcare sector that operate with higher levels of financial risk, according to a statement on the partnership.

Brian Fehlhaber, Vice President of Sales for Summit Re, commented; “We are very excited to work with xG. Our companies share a passion for working with clients on an individual level to help each one be as effective as possible.

“As the healthcare industry continues to shift focus toward quality and value-based measures, the tools xG brings to Summit Re clients can help them improve their processes to optimize the delivery of care—with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.”

xG has developed a proprietary assessment that enables entities in the sector to identify and examine strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for development. Areas of focus include care management and coordination of staff roles, as well as transitions of care, chronic disease management, patient risk assessment, data analytics, and documentation practices, explains the announcement.

Clients will undergo an onsite evaluation, and will then receive a detailed report that is designed to act as a blueprint for the creation, implementation, and evolution of an evidence-based care management model.

Chief Sales Officer for xG Health Solutions, Andrew Blackmon, added; “Together with Summit Re, we will help healthcare entities drive financial savings and clinical improvement through our assessments built around industry-leading best practices.”
