Global reinsurance giant Swiss Re has appointed Mohit Pande as Chief Underwriting Officer, Property.
Based in New York, Pande brings more than 20 years of industry experience towards his new role, 17 of which he has spent working at Swiss Re.
Pande joined Swiss Re in 2005 as Vice President, Natural Hazards. He served in this role for just over four years, before being named VP, Senior Treaty Underwriter at the beginning of 2010.
After a three-year stint in that role, Pande was then appointed to SVP, Head of Globals Property Underwriting in 2013, and would go on to serve in this role for just over five years.
In 2018, he was then promoted to Managing Director, Head of Property Underwriting for both the US & Canada.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Pande served as a Senior Research Engineer at AIR Worldwide.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Swiss Re’s shareholders had approved all proposals put forward by its Board of Directors at its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
According to the reinsurer, the vast majority of shareholders (98.12%) approved the proposal of the Board of Directors to pay out an ordinary dividend of USD 6.40 per share for the 2022 financial year.
