Global reinsurance firm Swiss Re has appointed its current Head of Investor Relations Philippe Brahin to a new role as Americas Region leader of the Public Sector Solutions division.
Philippe Brahin has worked at Swiss Re since 2011 in roles of increasing responsibility.
He joined the reinsurance firm within its Group Finance function as Head of Governmental Affairs and Sustainability, becoming a member of the Group Finance Executive Team in 2014 and taking on the position of Head of Investor Relations in 2015.
Now, Brahin shifts to the other side of the business, joining Swiss Re’s Public Sector Solutions unit, which works with governments and public sector entities to help them increase their resilience through the use of risk transfer, insurance and reinsurance market solutions.
Swiss Re said that, “We are delighted to announce that Philippe Brahin will join Public Sector Solutions as new Americas Region Leader.”
Brahin has also acted as a delegate to a range of finance industry bodies in his time with Swiss Re, the Institute of International Finance, the Geneva Association and the European Financial Roundtable. He has also been the vice-chairman of the Economic & Finance Committee of Insurance Europe.
It’s understood Brahin will take up the role in Public Sector Solutions at Swiss Re from this summer.
