Swiss Re Corporate Solutions unveils changes to China leadership

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the global reinsurer’s commercial insurance arm, has announced that Jingwei Jia, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Greater China, left the company on January 6th, 2022, after 15 years of service.

Jia first joined Swiss Re in 2006 as an underwriter in London. During his tenure with the company, he held numerous senior roles before leading the formation of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Insurance China Ltd in 2015.

In 2019, he was also named as CEO of the Swiss Re International SE Hong Kong branch. Over his 15-year career with the reinsurance giant, Jia has developed a strong team that achieved notable growth in Greater China.

In the interim, Jonathan Rake, CEO Asia Pacific for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, takes on oversight of for Greater China with Christine Fang, General Manager of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Insurance China Ltd.

Additionally, Zoe Woon, General Counsel Asia at Swiss Re, will serve as the interim CEO for Swiss Re International SE Hong Kong branch.

The reinsurer says that it expects to announce a permanent replacement once it has received all regulatory approvals in the near future.
