Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, a division of the global reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Allen Kwan as Head of Customer & Distribution Management of North America, effective January 1, 2023.
In this New York based role, he will oversee the customer and broker distribution strategy for the United States and Canada, reporting to Katie McGrath, CEO North America at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Kwan joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2012 and has served as Head Customer Management North America since August 2020. He was named as the interim head of Distribution Management in November 2021.
Additionally, he is also a Board Member of both the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and RIMS Golden Gate Chapter.
“Allen has demonstrated strong leadership over the past decade with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and we are excited to welcome him into this expanded role,” said McGrath. “His strong track record in supporting global customers in their risk management and financing needs, coupled with his North American distribution expertise, will increase our ability to provide exceptional solutions for our customers and brokers.”
Prior to Swiss Re, Kwan served as a Property Underwriter at Zurich for four years, underwriting highly protected risk (HPR) property business for Global Corporate customers.
Previous roles also include Risk Analyst for Cyber, E&O, Property at Beazley, and Operations Manager Tokio Marine’s HCC Specialty.
