Reinsurance giant Swiss Re’s commercial insurance arm, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (Swiss Re CorSo), has named Melanie Slack as Head UK, Ireland, SA & EMEA Wholesale, effective May 1st, 2021.
Slack joined Swiss Re back in 2001, where she gained global experience in numerous senior management roles in underwriting, internal audit, and public private partnerships.
Currently, she serves as Country Head Australia & New Zealand at Swiss Re CorSo and will relocate to London from Sydney to take on her new role.
As Head UK, Ireland, SA & EMEA Wholesale, Slack takes on responsibility for managing the strategy, development and performance of the firm’s presence in the British, Irish, and South African corporate insurance markets.

Subject to regulatory approval, Slack also assumes the role of Branch Manager of Swiss Re International SE UK branch.
She brings more than three decades of industry experience to the role, and has worked in Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the UK, and the U.S.
