Global reinsurance firm Swiss Re has announced the hiring of Adrian Hall, previously a member of the RSA leadership team, as the new CEO for the Canadian operations of its commercial insurance focused Swiss Re Corporate Solutions division.
Adrian Hall will join Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as CEO Canada as of the 1st May 2017.
Hall will be responsible for managing the company’s strategy, development and performance, and building Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ presence in the Canadian commercial insurance market.
Hall will be based in Toronto and will report directly to Ivan Gonzalez, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions CEO of North America.
“Canada is the 7th largest commercial insurance market in the world, and it is continuing to grow – particularly in industries, such as infrastructure, manufacturing and energy, where we have significant expertise,” Gonzalez commented. “Appointing an executive of Adrian’s caliber demonstrates our commitment to both building our business and enhancing our client service in the country.”

Hall has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years, in leadership positions across a range of companies in the United Kingdom, Latin America, the Middle East and most recently Canada where he has been based since 2004.
Hall will join the North America Management Team for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and also take on additional responsibilities as Chief Agent of the Westport Insurance Corporation Canada Branch.
Hall has spent his entire career with the insurance group RSA (previously known as Royal & Sun Alliance, having joined its graduate program back in 1994.
