Global reinsurance giant Swiss Re has promoted Stefanie Stratos to Global Chief Risk Officer of Reinsurance Global Clients, Client Solutions and iptiQ – Swiss Re´s digital B2B2C insurer.
Based in New York, Stratos is a renowned veteran within the industry, having worked at Swiss Re for over 26 years.
She joined the firm in 1996, taking on the role of Manager of Corporate Real – SR Financial Services.
After serving in this role for over eight years, she was then named Sarbanes Oxley Regional Process Manager, and would hold this role for just under four years, before being named Regional Audit Manager, SVP, in 2008.
In 2012 she was then named Senior Audit Manager – Director, where she was based in Zurich.
In 2014, Stratos then relocated back to New York, where she was appointed to Head of Compliance Americas. She would hold this role for just over a year before she was then named Chief Risk Officer Reinsurance Americas, & Managing Director, Global Head of Risk Management for Reinsurance Solutions.
Earlier this week, Swiss Re appointed Paloma Quiroga Arias as Head Risk Consulting & Analytics, where she will report to Russell Higginbotham, CEO Reinsurance Solutions.
