Swiss Re’s JV Movinx hires Carolin Gabo as CEO

22nd March 2021 - Author: Katie Baker

Insurance intermediary and service provider Movinx has appointed Carolin Gabor as its new Chief Executive Officer.

handshake-photoGabor will be leading the company along with Sebastiaan Bongers in the role of Chief Product Officer and Andreas Roth as Chief Financial Officer.

She will be responsible for the acceleration of Movinx’ expansion plans by engaging in cooperations with insurers across the globe, as well as partnering with more car manufacturers to bring Movinx’ innovative proposition to even more customers.

She is former Managing Partner of finleap where she helped develop new business models whilst supporting the growth of the finleap portfolio companies, including Solarisbank, Clark or finleap connect.

Movinx was launched as a 50/50 joint venture by global reinsurance giant Swiss Re along with with Daimler Insurance Services late last year.

“I am very excited to join Movinx and together with the team shape the future of mobility insurance. The insurance industry is still at the very beginning of being digitised and disrupted. In 2021, where we consume almost everything digitally, most insurance products are still sold via traditional distribution channels like brokers and agents.

“The future of mobility insurance needs to be radically simple and very convenient: buying the best fitting product should be as simple as ordering a taxi or buying shoes online. With more and more connected cars, shared and e-mobility we will have enough data to make the buying of mobility insurances a lot more convenient and tailored to customer needs.”
