Specialty insurer and reinsurer Chaucer has appointed Swiss Re Europe’s Nicola Stacey as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) as current joint Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and CUO, John Fowle, consolidates his duties to CEO.
In her new role, Stacey will be responsible for both the development and execution of Chaucer’s underwriting strategy, and will have a focus on profitable portfolio growth.
She brings more than 30 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance to the role, which includes serving in senior leadership roles at reinsurance giant Swiss Re and GE Insurance Solutions.
Stacey joins Chaucer from Swiss Re Europe, where she most recently served as Managing Director with responsibility for risk management and globally for P&C Reinsurance.
