Talanx extends CEO’s contract until June 2030

The Supervisory Board of Talanx AG has decided to reappoint Torsten Leue as Chairman of the Board of Management, extending his contract ahead of schedule until June 2030.

talanxAccording to Talanx, the early extension recognises the Executive Board team’s strong performance under Leue’s leadership and aims to support the Group’s continued successful development.

Leue commented, “I am sincerely thankful for the trust placed in me and I am very much looking forward to the tasks ahead.

“I am delighted to continue working with my colleagues on the Board of Management and all employees across the Group with great dedication and a shared commitment to Talanx’s success.”

Leue began his career at Allianz after completing a banking apprenticeship and a degree in business administration, and worked for the insurer for 17 years in various roles in Germany and abroad.

Until 2003, he served as regional manager for Central and Eastern Europe. He later became CEO of Allianz’s subsidiary in Slovakia, a role he held until 2010, and also served as president of the Slovak Insurance Association before joining Talanx.

From 2010 to 2018, he was responsible for Talanx’s international retail and corporate client business and served as director of labour relations from 2017 to 2022.

Herbert K. Haas, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Talanx, said, “Mr Leue has developed the Group continuously and extremely successfully as CEO since May 2018.

“This applies to both the business performance and the cultural change of the Group. The Supervisory Board would like to thank Mr Leue for his outstanding work and is convinced that he and his team will continue on this path for the benefit of all stakeholders in the years to come.”
