Talbot Underwriting, an international specialty insurance and reinsurance company and part of AIG, has announced the appointment of Don Chu as Head of Catastrophe Management in London.
In his new role, Chu will work closely with teams across the business to support the management of Talbot’s catastrophe risk across all syndicates, while also partnering with AIG’s Group Catastrophe Management team.
He brings nearly 15 years of catastrophe management experience, joining Talbot from Chubb, where he held a range of catastrophe risk roles, most recently serving as Deputy Regional Catastrophe Risk Manager.
Chu began his career at AIG, where he spent three years as an Aviation Underwriting Assistant.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Shalin Haria, Chief Actuary at Talbot Underwriting, commented, “Looking forward to working with Don as we continue to strengthen our catastrophe management capability across Talbot and AIG.”
