AIG’s Talbot Underwriting has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments and promotions, a move that reflects its continued investment in talent and the strengthening of the firm’s underwriting capabilities.
Mark Ladbrook has been promoted to Active Underwriter, Syndicate 1183, subject to regulatory approval.
The executive has been with Talbot for 11 years, having most recently served as Head of Property.
He joined the company from Bowring Marsh, where he worked for over a decade, following his ten-year tenure at Marsh.
Meanwhile, Ollie Richards, who has been with the company for 12 years, was promoted to Head of Property.
Richards joined the company as an Assistant Underwriter and was then appointed Class Underwriter, his most recent position.
Talbot has also announced the promotion of Maria Ribeiro to Head of Fine Art & Specie. Ribeiro joined Talbot from Chubb, where she most recently served as Underwriter. Before that, she worked for close to four years at WTW, and spent three years at Besso before that.
Dimitra Theodoridou is returning to Talbot in February as Head of Financial Lines. Her career includes various claims and legal roles at AIG during her close to 20 year tenure with the company.
Commenting on the appointments, Emma Woolley, CEO, Talbot Underwriting, stated: “As we continue to serve our clients, brokers and communities, these appointments reflect our continued investment in our people: recognising strong performance, developing talent from within, and strengthening leadership to support our strategy and growth.”
