The Texel Group, a specialist credit and political risk insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Ivan Jesensky as its first digitisation broker and Michaela du Toit, who has joined as a broker.
Based in London, Jesensky will be reporting to Simon Bessant, Head of Insurance and a Director at Texel. He will be working with clients and insurers to continue to build out the company’s use of technology, innovation and software.
In his new role, Jesensky will als be in charge of ensuring Texel remains at the forefront of the digital transformation process, crucially, understanding how the digital landscape affects and impacts clients.
Prior to Texel Jesensky was Director of Client Solutions for EMEA at LiquidX. During his time at the company, he focused on the rollout of the digital RFQ platform utilised by a CPRI broker along with trade finance transactions deal marketing and execution.
Prior to that he was Head of Portfolio Management at Greensill and held project management roles at Restore and Cintas.
Also joining the London office, du Toit will be reporting to Alan Ball, Head of Structured and Bespoke Solutions (SBS) and a Director at Texel.
The executive will be working specifically within Texel’s SBS team, which focuses on developing new and bespoke applications of credit insurance for existing and new clients.
du Toit joins from A&O Shearman where she was an Associate in the Derivatives and Structured Finance Practice, focused on public CLO transactions, warehouse financings, fund financing and originator financings.
Prior to this she was an Associate at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc in Johannesburg.
