Korean Reinsurance Company, a global reinsurance provider headquartered in South Korea, has announced that Thana Narayanan has taken up the role of Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) at its Dubai office.
Narayanan brings extensive regional and sector experience to Korean Re, having spent over eight years with the organisation prior to this appointment.
Most recently, he served as Regional Head of Facultative – Energy, Power and Property Risks, overseeing markets across the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, Greece and Cyprus. During his tenure, he also held responsibility for energy, power and industrial risks across these regions.
Before joining Korean Reinsurance Company, Narayanan was Director – Middle East at Cooper Gay. Earlier in his career, he worked with Gulf Reinsurance Limited as Practice Leader and Senior Underwriter for Property and Engineering.
“I’m excited to start my new position as Chief Underwriting Officer at Korean Re, Dubai,” said Narayanan.
