The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. has announced the appointment of Charles Hamann as the President of small commercial. He replaces Michael Keane, who has taken on a new role to focus on the company’s long-term strategy.
Hamann is a market veteran with 35 years of industry experience. In his new role, his remit includes leading the company’s small commercial business, and executing the firm’s strategy to best serve its agents and small business customers.
Hamann joined The Hanover in 2002 and has previously served as the company’s Deputy President and Chief Underwriting Officer of small commercial.
Prior to this, Hamann served as President, small business at OneBeacon Insurance and previously served as Vice President, commercial lines at Chubb Insurance.
