The Mutual Group appoints Brett Humphrey as SVP & CFO

The Mutual Group, an integrated insurance operations platform serving the mutual industry, recently announced the appointment of Brett Humphrey as Senior Vice President (SVP) & Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Humphrey, who has nearly 20 years of leadership experience in global financial services, will lead high-performing finance organisations within The Mutual Group.

In his new role, he will leverage his expertise to expand the company’s member base and enhance service capabilities for its mutual insurance company members.

“Brett’s strong track record of success in both growing organisations and operational excellence makes him a great addition to The Mutual Group leadership team,” commented Tim Fleming, Chief Executive Officer of The Mutual Group.

Humphrey previously held several senior positions during his nine-year tenure at American International Group, Inc. (AIG) in New York and Japan, most recently serving as Vice President of Separation Finance.

Before joining AIG, he was Head of Actuarial and Finance at Aegon Sony Life Insurance, and he also served as Chief Financial Officer at Hartford Life Japan.

Humphrey holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Utah.
