TMG Insurance Services, LLC (The Mutual Group), an integrated insurance operations platform serving the mutual industry, has announced the appointment of Coleman Johnson as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer.
In his new role, Johnson will lead the strategy, governance, and performance of underwriting functions for The Mutual Group, driving profitability and growth for the Company and its mutual insurance members.

Johnson brings to The Mutual Group over 20 years of field and home office underwriting leadership experience and a proven record of achieving profitable performance for several large, national carriers.
Prior to joining the company, the executive was part of Canopius, where he served as Chief Underwriting Officer for the U.S. and Bermuda.
Previously, Johnson held roles of increasing seniority at Liberty Mutual, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for the U.S. Middle Market business.
He has also held senior underwriting roles during his tenure at The Hanover Insurance Group and The Hartford.
