Thomas Miller, an international insurance and risk management business is has unveiled Navata, its new standalone MGA business.
Evolving from Thomas Miller Specialty Offshore, which was founded in 2016, Navata specialises in underwriting a broad array of renewable energy, power, onshore and offshore oil & gas risks.
It also offers Marine insurance products backed by S&P A+ and AA- rated capacity.
Hugh Titcomb, Thomas Miller Group CEO, commented: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of Navata and anticipate its structure, experienced team and existing business relationships will enable it to develop and grow significantly in a dynamic marketplace.”
With a team of 31 employees, including 13 seasoned underwriters, Navata is led by CEO Bernt Hellman, who played a key role in establishing the TMS Offshore business.
Navata is primarily owned by the Thomas Miller Group and will function independently alongside the Group’s other operations.

The renaming to Navata is pending regulatory approval in Germany, Canada, and Singapore.
