Thornthwaite appointed Goosehead’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Goosehead Insurance, an independent personal lines insurance agency, has announced the appointment of Martin Thornthwaite as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, succeeding John O’Connor, who will be departing the company and pursuing other opportunities.

In his new position, Thornthwaite will be responsible for Goosehead’s Legal, Compliance, and Human Resource departments. Furthermore, he will manage the company’s corporate governance, real estate portfolio, and risk management initiatives.

Most recently, the executive held the position of Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at RealPage, Inc.,responsible for supervising intricate commercial and consumer litigation, regulatory and governmental investigations, and legal issues related to employment.

Prior to joining RealPage, Thornthwaite was a member at Clark Hill PLC, and a partner at Strasburger & Price LLP.
