Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) has announced the appointment of Sandy Mavrommati as the new Head of Legal & Compliance for its European operations, Tokio Marine Europe (TME).
This move aims to enhance the company’s network of compliance expertise and ensure the safe and compliant operation of its business.
Mavrommati joins TMHCCI from Hiscox, where she previously held the position of Head of Compliance for Europe. With nearly 20 years of experience in compliance and regulatory roles within the insurance and banking sectors, Sandy brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
Her diverse background includes working at esteemed organisations such as AXA, Credit Suisse, and Piraeus Bank.
In her new capacity, Sandy will assume responsibility for leading the expanding compliance team across Europe and will report directly to David Feldman, Head of International Compliance at TMHCCI.
Vanesa Herrero, Chief Executive Officer of TME, expressed her enthusiasm regarding the appointment, emphasising the need to comply with increasing regulations in the evolving business environment.
Herrero highlighted the importance of developing the Legal & Compliance Department to meet ongoing regulatory obligations and ensure the safety and compliance of the company’s operations for its people, shareholders, and clients.

Sandy Mavrommati’s appointment is pending approval by the Commissariat aux Assurances, the Luxembourg regulator, which oversees regulatory matters in the country.
