Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) International, a member of the Tokio Marine HCC group of specialty insurance companies headquartered in Houston, Texas, has appointed Nicolas Pelletier to the newly created position of Head of Distribution – Europe.
Pelletier takes up the role on 1 September 2026 and will be responsible for developing and strengthening the insurer’s distribution relationships across Continental Europe, while also supporting opportunities for further business growth.
Based at TMHCC International, Pelletier will report to Stuart Heath, Head of Distribution – International. His responsibilities will include working with the company’s European business units to strengthen links between its specialist insurance capabilities and the requirements of brokers and clients across the region.
The appointment forms part of TMHCC International’s wider approach to distribution. The company established its international distribution structure last year with the appointment of Heath as Head of Distribution – International. According to TMHCC International, the creation of Pelletier’s role is intended to further support collaboration between its specialty businesses and distribution partners.
Pelletier has been with Tokio Marine HCC since 2005, when he joined the business as a Junior Underwriter. During his more than two decades with the group, he has developed his career in Financial Lines and held a number of positions across the business.
Before taking on his new distribution responsibilities, Pelletier was Underwriting Director – Continental Europe and Latin America. He was based at TMHCC International’s Barcelona office in that position.
Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Heath, Head of Distribution – International at TMHCC International, said: “Nicolas brings extensive knowledge of our business and the European market, together with strong and longstanding broker relationships. His experience will be particularly valuable as we continue to strengthen the way our business units work with distribution partners across Europe.
“This role is about bringing our capabilities and market insight closer together, making it easier for brokers and clients to access the breadth of expertise we have across TMHCC International. Nicolas is very well placed to help us achieve that.”
Pelletier added: “Having spent more than 20 years with Tokio Marine HCC, I have seen first-hand the depth of expertise that exists across our European businesses. I am looking forward to working more closely with our teams and broker partners to identify where we can create stronger connections and support their priorities across the region.
“My focus will be on listening to our brokers and business units, understanding where opportunities exist and ensuring we bring the right people and capabilities together.”
