Tokio Marine HCC restructures London Market teams to facilitate growth

Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) has announced its London Market Marine, Energy and Renewables businesses will be brought under one operating structure which will be headed up by the recently appointed Ben Kinder.

Tokio Marine HCCAccording to TMHCCI, this move will “facilitate future growth and drive greater efficiencies.”

Kinder, who joined TMHCCI from Zurich, has been appointed to the role of Chief Underwriting Officer for Marine, Energy and Renewables.

He holds over two and a half decades of experience providing risk transfer solutions to global marine and energy companies and has been tasked with creating a more integrated offering across these key lines of business.

Kinder will report to Simon Button, Chief Underwriting Officer – London Market.

Commenting on the restructure, Button said, “Our London Market operations are a central component of TMHCCI’s overall business, and they play a key role in the wider market.

“While we have enjoyed considerable success to date, our ambition is to keep growing, while still providing the same level of expertise and service to clients and brokers alike.

“The addition of Ben’s formidable skills and experience to the team will allow us to do that.”
