Reinsurer Topsail Re has introduced its newest team member, Michael Swartz, who has assumed the role of Vice President (VP) of Underwriting.
With over 22 years of experience in both primary insurance and reinsurance sectors, Swartz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position.
Swartz’s extensive background encompasses various aspects of the insurance industry. He commenced his career on the primary underwriting side, where he specialised in analysing, pricing, and managing commercial insurance business.
His underwriting expertise extends across diverse lines of coverage, including Workers Compensation, Automobile, General Liability, Property, and Umbrella policies. Moreover, Swartz possesses substantial experience in program business management, having successfully overseen a sizable contractors program during his tenure as Program Manager at AmTrust Financial Services.
Mike Swartz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University and is distinguished by his qualifications as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe).
