Transportation & Logistics unit launched within Everest Insurance

Bermudian reinsurer Everest Re Group has announced the launch of a new Transportation and Logistics business unit within its primary insurance arm, Everest Insurance, led by Jeff Engelbrecht.

logisticsAccording to an announcement on its launch, the new segment will offer clients a range of coverage lines, including Workers’ Compensation, Employers’ Liability, and also up to $5 million in capacity for both Automobile Liability and General Liability.

Overall, the risk appetite of the new unit will cover all sectors of the transportation industry, with a focus on logistics, waste haulers, airlines, fixed-based operations, and a number of for-hire transportation services.

The new Transportation and Logistics group will leverage complementary solutions from across Everest’s segments, which includes Auto Buffer and Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability, to develop bespoke offerings for customers.

At the same time, the new group will feature a value added services that is focused on the transportation sector, including the mobile safety management platform, Zero.
