TransRe, the reinsurance arm of Alleghany, has announced the appointment of Hugo Cardona, formerly of Aspen Re, as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Latin America & Caribbean.
The reinsurer states that in his new role Cardona will have responsibility for regional client relationships, which includes the development of new relationships, and that he will liaise across all lines of business to provide customers with a comprehensive view of the firm’s products and services.
Cardona brings extensive reinsurance industry knowledge and experience in the Latin America market to the role.
He has previously worked for Aspen Re, Odyssey Re and also Aon Benfield, among other firms in the re/insurance industry.
