Specialty insurer MS Transverse Insurance Group, has appointed Paul Goodwin as Head of Reinsurance Strategy, who was previously Head of Business Development.
Goodwin joined Transverse in 2022 after having worked at Partner Re for over four years. During this time, he held the role of Head of Americas Broker Relations and Senior Vice President for Global Clients.
Prior to that, he spent most of his career with Munich Re where he held a number of positions focused on client and broker relationships. He is also a Board member and Chair of the Audit & Risk committee for Millers Mutual, and a member of the Compensation committee and Investment committee.
With more than 35 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, Goodwin specialises in reinsurance program design & implementation, reinsurance client & broker relationships, national, regional and mutual carriers, E&S, MGA and primary production sources.
In 2022, Transverse also confirmed it attained Class VIII size category, which came after an injection of capital in 2021, with the insurer raising $48m as it looked to grow its business.
