Travelers to realign reporting structure after retirement of President and COO

The Travelers Companies, Inc. has announced that it is realigning the reporting structure of its business leaders, in response to the retirement of President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Brian MacLean.

Travelers logoMacLean, who has been with the firm for three decades, is to retire on March 31st, 2018, a move that has led the insurer to realign the reporting structure of its business leaders.

Michael Klein, Travelers Personal Insurance lead, Tom Kunkel, leader of Bonds & Specialty Insurance, Nick Seminara, who leads the Claim and Special Liability Group, Kevin Smith, leader of International, and also leader of Business Insurance, Greg Toczydlowski, will now report to Travelers Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alan Schnitzer.

Commenting on MacLean’s departure, Schnitzer, said; “Brian has made extraordinary contributions to Travelers over a spectacular 30-year career. He has been an integral part of our leadership team for more than a decade, helping to build Travelers into the company it is today. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and dedication and wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

MacLean, added; “It has been a privilege to be part of this company for three decades, working alongside the very best in the industry. I am fortunate to call so many of them my close friends, and I couldn’t be more confident in their and the company’s continued success.”
