Trisura Group Ltd, a specialty insurance provider operating in surety, risk solutions, and corporate insurance, announces several senior management appointments across the organisation.

Richard Grant, who has been with Trisura Canada since its inception, has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer. Initially leading the Corporate Insurance practice and most recently serving as COO.
Grant now assumes expanded responsibilities that include strategic leadership and oversight of underwriting and programme structuring decisions across North America, as well as overseeing reinsurance and the development of the US Corporate Insurance business.
Chris Sekine, who has led Trisura Canada for the past five years, will transition to an executive director position on the board of Trisura Canada at the end of the year. He will continue to oversee strategic initiatives, growth, reinsurance, and distribution. As part of the succession planning, Grant will assume the role of Canadian CEO in the new year, supported by the Canadian senior management team.
Phillip Shirtliff joins Trisura from Manulife Financial as Chief Risk Officer. With a background as an actuary, Shirtliff previously led Manulife Canada’s insurance risk function and managed a team responsible for global model risk management. At Trisura, he will head the risk function and enterprise risk management, working closely with local risk officers.
Micah Gautreaux, recently joining from Horace Mann Insurance Company, will serve as General Counsel for Trisura US. He will lead the US legal function, providing support for both US Fronting and the growing US Surety and Corporate Insurance platforms.
Allison Kenworthy, who joined Trisura last year from Nautilus Insurance Group, a WR Berkley company, will continue as Chief Financial Officer for Trisura US.
Kenworthy’s leadership has significantly improved the infrastructure, and she will play a key role in developing the US Surety and Corporate Insurance platforms, as well as in the ongoing expansion of US Fronting.
