Robin Udhwan has been named Head of Canada Programs at Munich Re Specialty – North America (MRS-NA), part of the global reinsurer.
A seasoned veteran of the North American insurance landscape, particularly Canada and the United States, Udhwan brings deep expertise in underwriting, operations, and strategic leadership to the role.
In his new position, the executive will oversee the underwriting and management of the MRS-NA managing general agent (MGA) portfolio business
His leadership is expected to strengthen the company’s specialty offerings in the Canadian market, where policies are underwritten by Temple Insurance Company, a member of Munich Re Group.
Udhwan will report to Claudia Carnevale, Head of Programs, North America, and to Derek Stewart, Senior Vice President, Temple Insurance Company.
The executive is joining Munich Re Specialty from Everest, where he most recently served as Vice President – Head of Business Operations.
Prior to that, he spent 12 years of his career with US insurer Travelers, where he joined as Assistant Vice President, Business Insurance – International Start Up & Growth, and was later appointed National Vice President – Chief Underwriting Officer.
Earlier in his career, Udhwan served as Director and Acting AVP of Underwriting Operations for Technology Practices.
