Primary mutual insurer, USAA has appointed Clyde Douglas as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Claims.
Within this new role, Douglas will oversee the claims organisation, focusing on providing exceptional service to USAA’s members.
He brings more than 25 years of experience within the industry, and joins USAA from global insurer, Chubb where he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of global claims.
Most recently, during his tenure at Chubb, Douglas was responsible for the global claims transformation, optimization, digital and intelligence process automation programs and vendor management.
In addition, Douglas also had oversight of financial and actuarial analysis, operations, as well as three regionalised North American claim services centres, which processed Chubb’s personal and commercial claims.
Prior to joining the insurance industry, Douglas served in the United States Coast Guard for nine years.
